I joined the staff in February of 2022 after serving at a non-denominational church in Florida for six years, and as a local pastor of the Western North Carolina Conference of the UMC from 2002 to 2015.  I have been married to Rebekah since December of 2000, and have two amazing daughters; Kathleen and Emily, along with the two most spoiled dogs in Sunset Beach; Minnie, and Belle. I love to play golf and fish, even though I am not good at either one!

Where is your favorite place to travel?
Pigeon Forge, TN

What's a fun fact about you that most people don't know?
I still have a baby tooth.

 What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
 Hanging out with my family and sleeping in. 

What hobby or activity brings you joy?
Golf, although sometimes it does not bring me joy..... and watching documentaries.

Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My grandfather- he was a World War II veteran, farmer, and carpenter.  He showed me the value of work, how to live simply, and to give abundantly.  

What is your favorite Bible Verse?
Col. 3: 16-17 "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
